Standardized Patient Program
Welcome to the Standardized Patient (SP) Program under the Simulation and Advanced Skills Center (SASC) at the Cleveland Clinic! We look forward to working with you on the development & implementation of Standardized Patients within your curriculum to educate those who serve. Our program began under the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine in 2004 with 96 learners, and since then, our program continues to grow, enterprise wide, averaging more than 1500 learners per year. Our learners include medical students, APPs, MDs, Nurses, Allied Health Professionals (just to name a few), and they come from a variety of disciplines such as Behavioral Health, Pediatrics, Anesthesiology, and Internal Medicine.
The mission of the Standardized Patient Program is to use Standardized Patients to extend experiential, consistent, quantifiable practicum in support of the education and training of those who serve and foster delivery of quality patient care and safety.
