22.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits                                     Online + 2 days

Led by highly experienced Cleveland Clinic’s Simulation and Advanced Skills Center Faculty, the course combines online foundational simulation-based material and onsite experiential learning with practice and feedback.  Attendees join a growing community of informed simulation educators who continue to network and share experiences in the field.  The program emphasizes hands-on activities and active participation to maximize simulation-based instruction skill acquisition. Class group sizes are kept small to allow for maximum participation. The primary audience for this course are healthcare educators looking to implement best practices in simulation facilitation and debriefing strategies and techniques.

Designed for the busy healthcare educator with limited time, the Simulation and Advanced Skills Center Simulation Educator Workshop boasts a blended learning approach that combines customized peer-to-peer and mentor feedback during the online learning followed by an immersive, two-day in person, interactive workshop.  About a month prior to the in-person course held at the Simulation Center in Cleveland, Ohio, enrolled participants prepare and submit assignments based on individual schedules.  Once on-site, daily formats vary and include small and large group discussions, practical exercises with feedback, and scenario building with practice facilitating a scenario from pre-brief to debrief.  Topics include:
